We’re up to 6 miles in the training! Yay! Only got to tack on another .2 and we’re at the 10k. And really, that’s like walking to your car when you’re done. Easy!
I have a migraine, and not a lot to work on at ye olde cubicle farme. So I’m catching up on my podcasts – and today I’m going for the Minimalist, a vlog from the NYT, with recipes for awesome things that don’t take long to make. I’m psyched about a new mashed potato recipe, and crackers that are, in Bittman’s words “cheeze-its at the Academy Award level.” Now, all I need is to have a limitless pantry and all the time I want to spend in the kitchen.
Here’s today’s life quote… I’ve decided to make it my guiding principle (well, the guiding principle that falls right below “always take naps with hubby on rainy Sunday afternoons.”)
“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” – Henry David Thoreau
